Welcome to the MSF Auction Site for fans of David Hewlett

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

David has often urged his fans not to send him gifts but to donate to his favourite charity, Medecins Sans Frontieres / Doctors Without Borders, instead.  So to help this along, I thought I would set up a fan auction for MSF/DWB in celebration of his birthday and, hopefully, fans would be able to celebrate alongside with him.  The first auction took place in April 2007 and together we raised over £1000 (GBP) for MSF / DWB (taking into account Gift Aid from UK taxpayers). 

The second auction is now over for 2008!  Thank you very much to everyone who donated, promoted, bid, won, lost, listened to me moan 'n' groan and who were part of my cheering squad!  You all deserve a big round of applause! 

We more than doubled the total donated for 2007 in 2008 and raised a whopping £2316.67 (GBP) for MSF / DWB, once the extra money from Gift Aid has been factored in.  This has now placed us in second place (we were top at one stage) as the highest fundraisers for MSF /DWB for Justgiving.  David thanks you all for this.

The auction will be back by popular demand in 2009, starting on 14th March and ending on 4th April.  Suffice to say, I will NOT be using the same software next year!  I hope the, generally minor, glitches did not put anyone off from participating again and will be seeking feedback, as last year, from you all in a couple of weeks.
