Thank you for taking the time to visit.

David has often urged his fans not to send him gifts but to donate to his favourite charity, Medecins Sans Frontieres / Doctors Without Borders, instead.  So to help this along, I thought I would set up a fan auction for MSF/DWB in celebration of his birthday and, hopefully, fans would be able to celebrate along with him. 

Please note this is an unofficial fan-run auction and is not affiliated with David Hewlett himself in any way.  David is aware this exists, though, and is happy for us to keep on having fun whilst doing some good at the same time, all in honour of his birthday and is more than pleased that we celebrate it this way.

The first auction took place in April 2007 and together we raised over £1000 (GBP) for MSF / DWB (taking into account Gift Aid from UK taxpayers).  The second auction finished in April 2008 and we more than doubled the previous total donated and raised a whopping £2316.67 (GBP) for MSF / DWB, once the extra money from Gift Aid had been factored in.  This placed us for a long time in second place as the highest fundraisers for MSF /DWB for Justgiving in 2008.  Last year, despite the global downturn in the economy and many countries being hit by a a recession, we still managed to raise just over £1530 (GBP) , including Gift Aid. David thanks you all for this.

A big thank you to all who helped make 2007, 2008 and 2009 such a resounding success and a special thank you too to all at Wolf Events, for their assistance over the last three years.  They have been outstanding!  No other con organiser quite like them!  And also to Shine Productions for their very kind and generous support as well.

The auction for 2010 has now finished. As of 18th April, we raised £1161.69 (including Gift Aid) for MSF / DWB for David's birthday.  Thank you so much to everyone who supported this and raised such a fabulous sum in such difficult times for so many.  It's not too late to make a donation either.  If you would like to do, please visit my JustGiving site for this.
