Thank you for taking the time to visit.

David has often urged his fans not to send him gifts but to donate to his favourite charity, Medecins Sans Frontieres / Doctors Without Borders, instead.  So to help this along, I thought I would set up a fan auction for MSF/DWB in celebration of his birthday and, hopefully, fans would be able to celebrate along with him. 

The first auction took place in April 2007 and together we raised over £1000 (GBP) for MSF / DWB (taking into account Gift Aid from UK taxpayers).  The second auction finished in April 2008 and we more than doubled the previous total donated and raised a whopping £2316.67 (GBP) for MSF / DWB, once the extra money from Gift Aid had been factored in.  This placed us for a long time in second place as the highest fundraisers for MSF /DWB for Justgiving in 2008.  David thanks you all for this.

The sum collected for 2009 stands at just over GBP 1520 (including Gift Aid).  Well done everyone!  You did a tremendous job and should feel very proud of yourselves!  Only one item remained unpaid for and all items (other than that) sold!  As of the exchange rate on 17th April, that works out at AUD 3113, CAD 2732, EUR 1725 and USD 2250!

Once again there will be a free CD of pictures available to anyone who makes a purely monetary donation of £5 or more to MSF (i.e. a non-bid winning donation).  I have taken pictures of both David and Kate at Wolf Events' Meet the Hewletts in June 2008, the Stargate: Atlantis guests at Wolf's Pegasus 4 in January 2009 (Kavan Smith, Chuck Campbell, Christopher Heyerdahl, James 'Bam Bam' Bamford and Paul McGillion) and the CD will also include the Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate: SG-1 guests at Massive Events' Chevron 7.2 taken in February 2009, (including Jason Momoa and Joe Flanigan).  These pictures will be large enough to print for your own personal (non-commercial) use, should you so wish, and will not appear on my website for at least another 6 months.  CDs will get sent out early May, once all donations have been collected.

A big thank you to all who helped make 2008 and 2009 such a resounding success and a special thank you too to all at Wolf Events, for their assistance over the last three years.  They have been outstanding!  No other con organiser quite like them !
